Governance Settings

Governance settings control the procedural rules your AI board follows during meetings. Access them at Account → Governance.

Parliamentary Mode

Choose consensus, advisory, strict RONR, or custom. See Parliamentary Modes Explained for details.

Jurisdiction State

Two-letter state code (e.g. CA, NY) for jurisdiction-aware governance guidance.

Adherence Level

  • Strict — full procedural compliance
  • Standard — balanced procedure and efficiency
  • Facilitated — secretary guides but allows flexibility
  • Light — minimal procedure, maximum discussion

Motion Rules

  • Require second for motions — a seconding motion is needed before debate
  • Chair votes on motions — the chair participates in votes (normally chairs abstain)
  • Allow consent agenda — routine items can be approved as a group without individual debate

Vote Threshold

  • Simple majority
  • Supermajority
  • Consensus (unanimous)
  • Advisory (non-binding)

Debate Limit

Optional time cap on debate per motion (in minutes). Leave blank for no limit.
